STOX ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect and Its Purpose
We collect and use the following information for the purposes described below:
- Camera and Photo Data (e.g., Fridge, Receipts): To provide our AI-powered automated reading of ingredients and items.
- Account Information: Email address and authentication credentials (if you use the login feature).
- Usage Data: Anonymous crash logs and usage statistics to improve the App's quality and fix bugs.
Photos of your refrigerator or receipts are transmitted to a secure external AI analysis server (API) solely for the purpose of extracting ingredient data. Once analysis is complete, this image data is either immediately deleted or converted into text data (ingredient names) and is not stored. Your image data will NOT be used to train AI machine learning models.
2. Sharing Your Information
We do not share or disclose your personal information to third parties except in the following circumstances:
- With your explicit consent.
- When required by law or legal process.
- For "External API Integration" necessary to provide specific features, such as the aforementioned AI analysis. In such cases, data is encrypted and shared under strict agreements that prohibit its use for any other purpose.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, such as encryption of communications, to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, or disclosure.
